Sarah Arnesen

Youth Choirs Conductor’s Assistant

Sarah and her husband, Adam, are blessed with four children, whom she homeschools. She joined MCO as a member of Grand Chorus when it was brought to Austin in 2021. She loves spending time with the children and youth as the Youth Choirs Conductor’s Assistant.

Sarah received a bachelor’s degree in Germanic Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University. While there, she participated in the BYU Women’s Chorus under Jean Applonie and Concert Choir under Rosalind Hall. She and Adam met while singing in Concert Choir. Sarah was also mentored by Tracy Warby, Shauna Smith, and Amy Merkley.

Sarah has a broad musical background in accompanying choirs on piano and organ, leading children’s choirs, playing violin in orchestras, doing vocal solo and small ensemble work, and participating as a member of numerous choirs. She spends significant time training her children in piano and singing at home. Sarah has seen how great music has the immeasurable potential to bless the life of the individual. She is thrilled to have found MCO and be able to be part of an organization that is so focused on using the medium of music to inspire youth, bear testimony of Christ, and bring peace to the world.
