Philip M. Nelson has served on the Millennial Music board of directors through many years of impressive growth. A melophile from an early age, he sang, studied piano, trumpeted, and performed through youth, including in such diverse roles as the Grinch, Carmen’s street urchin #7, and soloist for the Bach D-minor keyboard concerto. In college he pursued physics and law, now practicing patent law as a partner with Knobbe Martens in Irvine, California. He also serves on boards for the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.

Aside from MCO concerts, his favorite pastimes include strumming for the kids’ bedtime dance-a-thon, imbibing history, and planning the next alpine ascent.
