Brett Stewart

President

Dr. Brett Stewart, together with his brother Brandon, founded Millennial® Music in 2007, including Millennial® Choirs & Orchestras (MCO) and Millennial® Music Publishing (MMP). Beginning with one locale in Orange County, CA, it has grown to seven locales across seven states in the past sixteen years. Stewart served his first term as president of the Board of Directors from 2007–2013 and began his second term in 2019. Along with his brother, he is Dean & Founding Musical Director and composer-in-residence for MCO. In addition to their involvement and employment in multiple musical organizations and institutions, prior to MCO the Stewart brothers learned the trade of founding and running a successful musical organization through extensive research of and advice from some of the most distinguished musical entities in the world. Stewart’s greatest mentor and advocate for founding MCO was Dr. Dale Warland, founder and music director of the acclaimed Dale Warland Singers.

Stewart received a doctorate degree in choral conducting with cognate studies in composition from the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music, a master’s degree in choral conducting from California State University, Long Beach, and a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Brigham Young University. Extremely active and busy with his family and religious life, Stewart devotes his career time exclusively to MCO and other composing projects. He and his wife, Mindy, are the parents of seven children and reside in northeast Texas.
